Our Operational Team

Dana Ibrahim: Architect

Dana is our lead architect. Her deeply rooted fascination for sustainable building and city development brought her to GreenfieldCities. Dana is responsible for the development of the design for the campus, together with local and international experts, universities and partners. She supervises students of Jordanian universities as part of the design process. Additionally, Dana develops high-quality graphical products based on her graphic design skills. Dana is a real cosmopolitan team-player with a determined and distinctive vision.

Rahmeh Al Tehaimer: Office Lead Mafraq

Rahmeh is born and bred Mafraqi. She just completed her water management Masters degree from the Hashemite University, located between Mafraq and Amman. Rahmeh is an organizational talent and a philosophical free thinker. She runs the day to day operations in Mafraq,  liaises between the international team members and the Mafraq local government and Mafraq private stakeholders.

Mohamad Hassoun: IT Manager

Mohamad Hassoun from Syria holds a degree in Information Technology and a number of training certificates in the same field. Mohamad has 3 years of experience as administrator of IT infrastructure, programmer and designer of web sites. He is a brilliant and tenacious trouble shooter and there are very few IT problems he cannot solve. He worked for many charity and private organizations inside Syria and neighbouring countries.

Nahom Tefamichael Nahom Tesfamichael: Financial and Administrative Specialist

Nahom came to the Netherlands from Eritrea and is a key specialist in our financial management team. Nahom grabs opportunities and always has a smile on his face. Next to his work for GFC, Nahom organizes cultural events and he will complete his Dutch MBO 4 financial accounting education in 2021.

Ruut Brandsma: IT Business Developer

Ruut is our IT Business Developer. He is responsible for getting funding for our ICT activities.
Ruut has a background in Physics, machine learning and software development. Beside his work for GreenfieldCities, he works as a managing consultant in renewable energy. He has a Masters in Physics and has designed and developed advanced models in various programming languages. Ruut is an excellent communicator and has delivered multiple workshops to users of software. He has designed, maintained and completed data mining of large databases. Wasim Othman: Junior Marketing Manager Arabic Speaking World

Wasim came to the Netherlands from Syria and is one of our junior marketing managers for the Arabic language stakeholders. Wasim also has a keen interest in sports management and will help the GFC team developing a strong sports theme plan for our new cities as well.

Hedzer Roodenburg Vermaat: Country Director Jordan

Hedzer is our Country Director in Jordan and manages the work for GreenfieldCities on the ground. Backed by a strong socio-technical background, field experience in refugee camps (research and work), project development and management experience in Jordan, Hedzer knows how to manoeuvre in the Jordanian context to make things happen.
